Welcome to Refactrix — Where Code Meets Craft

We've spent years building software that scales, fails gracefully, and outlasts the hype cycles. Today, we're opening the doors.

Welcome to Refactrix — Where Code Meets Craft

There's a version of software that just works. It's not fragile, it doesn't need babysitting at 2 AM, and it doesn't embarrass you when traffic spikes. That's the version we build at Refactrix.

What We Do

Refactrix is a boutique software engineering studio. We take on a small number of clients at a time — deliberately — so every engagement gets senior-level attention from start to finish.

We work across the full stack: architecture design, frontend and backend development, API integrations, cloud infrastructure, and code that needs rescuing from technical debt. If you've inherited a codebase that nobody quite understands anymore, we've seen worse.

Our Philosophy

Software is not a deliverable. It's a living system. The decisions made in week one echo through years of maintenance, scaling, and team changes. We take those decisions seriously.

  • Writing code that the next engineer will thank you for
  • Systems that fail predictably, not catastrophically
  • Honest timelines over optimistic estimates
  • Long-term relationships over one-off projects

Who We Work With

We work with product teams in the UK and India — startups finding their feet, scale-ups hitting growth walls, and established companies modernising legacy systems. What they share is a commitment to quality and a frustration with the alternative.

If you're tired of agencies that disappear after delivery, or contractors who optimise for billing hours rather than outcomes, we should talk.

What's Coming

This blog is where we'll share the things we've learned — about architecture, about building distributed teams, about the tradeoffs nobody tells you about until it's too late. No filler, no content marketing fluff. Just things we'd want to read ourselves.

The first engagement starts with a conversation. Reach out when you're ready.
